You can tell you've become a native here by your reactions to the weather forcasts.  A native has one of the following two reactions when he hears on the radio that the high temperature is going to be 105° F:

• In the spring:  “Oh, no!  That means it won’t be long now before it actually gets hot!”
• In the fall:  “Oh, good!  It’s starting to cool off!”
